On March 6th there was a new update for the Hordetesting-Branch of Evrima. The Triceratops prototype was also activated and is now playable for everyone on the Hordetesting servers. However, some animations and sounds are still missing and the sparring mode is deactivated for the time being.

The trike finally arrives at the Testservers! YouTuber Kouga shows us all about the new apex herbivore in his new video.

Personal assessment

I recently had a look around a test server myself with a Pachy and was really impressed by the new changes that are coming. Here is my opinion, in a nutshell:

  • The changes to the geography / landscape of the gateway map are really well done! The new waterfalls look really cool and bring new tactical possibilities to the game for Deinosuchus players. I also think that the many changes to the terrain can create new hotspots that compete with the tried and tested hostpots like South Plains.
  • The new grasses of different lengths do indeed offer better hiding and surprise attack options for all players.
  • The performance on the test servers is now really quite good.
  • If no gamebreaking bug is patched in at the end, then we can indeed look forward to a really cool update for The Isle (Evrima)!
  • I personally hope that an update for the live servers is coming soon. Especially the bugfix for the Dilophosaurus is urgently needed and in my opinion should be implemented on the live servers as soon as possible.
