The latest Horde Test Patch V. 0.19.76 for The Isle has arrived, bringing with it a host of new updates, improvements and upcoming features. While the highly anticipated creatures such as the Triceratops and Tyrannosaurus Rex are not yet fully playable, players can already view them in the customization menu and check out their skins and growth levels. The developers have indicated that the Triceratops will be released before the Rex - however, it is likely that both will be released together once they are fully optimized.

Important new features and fixes - Patch 0.19.76

  • Graphics adjustments & performance issues
Some players are reporting poorer graphics and high pings after the update. A recommended solution is to deactivate Lumen in the settings to improve the visual quality. The developers are also working on further optimizations to stabilize server performance.

  • Triceratops deactivated for the time being
Triceratops is not yet playable in the first phase of the Horde test. The developers are focusing on a gradual introduction in order to minimize problems. If the test runs smoothly, the release could take place soon.

  • Spawncodes
In addition to the already known eggs/nesting codes, a new line has been added for the so-called spawn codes. These codes allow and make it easier to start together with another player at the same location. This feature will make it much easier to play together in The Isle. A spawn code for a friend can be found under TAB -> Group under "Spawn Code". You then send this to your friend and they can immediately spawn next to you in the game. If you can no longer find a spawn code there, then you have already grown too big. Spawn codes only work for baby dinos. Kudos to the developers!

  • Air currents and thermal updrafts - there are now horizontal and vertical air currents all over the island. These are for the Pteranodon. This allows it to pick up speed and accelerate.
  • New interactions & gameplay adjustments

    • Taco dinosaurs can now transport food!
The little taco (Tacosaurus) can now carry fruit and even meat, making it a useful prey for hungry players. Both herbivores and carnivores could now be after it.
    • Improved night vision
Players have noticed slight adjustments to night vision. Night vision now looks "creepier" and more atmospheric. In addition, it is no longer necessary to leave night vision on permanently, which significantly improves the exploration experience.
    • Tall grass - in addition to the normal grass, you can now see new, taller blades of grass in several places in the game, which should offer dinosaurs better opportunities to hide or plan attacks in open fields.
  • Map updates & new locations

    • The patch brings new waterfalls, rock formations and hidden paths to the game, making exploration more rewarding. Some areas are now multi-layered, which players have likened to "pancakes or onions".
    • A new building with modern monitors and lighting has been added, possibly hinting at future interactive elements. Developers have hinted that vending machines could be placed there in the future.

A glimpse into the future

Although this patch does not yet bring any new dinosaurs to the game, the current updates are laying the foundations for future Apex predators. The Tyrannosaurus Rex and Triceratops will have a major impact on gameplay once they are implemented. In addition, changes to the landscape indicate that new biomes could be introduced in the future to increase the diversity of the game world.

Conclusion

The Horde test patch is another step in the development of the ever-evolving world of The Isle. While some features are still in the testing phase, players are already discovering many hidden details and new mechanics. From taco food transports to improved landscapes, there's plenty to explore as we await the full introduction of new dinosaurs like the Triceratops or T-Rex.
