Pteranodon

• Stamina regeneration:

  • Pteras can regenerate stamina by clinging, provided their stamina bar is at least 20% full.

• Flying with breaks:

  • Pteras can fly with all fractures except leg fractures.

• Carrying and dropping:

  • Pteras cannot carry or drop dinosaurs, but may be able to carry kittens.

• Jumping ability:

  • Pteras can jump.

• Begging:

  • Begging ends at 18% for juveniles.

• Carrying prey as an adult:

  • Pteras can carry crabs, frogs, rabbits, and chickens.

• Limited prey ability as a juvenile:

  • Juveniles cannot catch schooling fish.

• Carcass mechanics:

  • Pteras carcasses and gore do not drop organs when shaken or attacked.

• Interaction with Troodon Pounce:

  • Pteras can continue to fly when pounced by a Troodon. This can lead to the Troodon's death if it falls off the Ptera's back.

Abilities, Movement, Flying

RIGHT CLICK | Latching (Latching)

• Clinging to trees or rocky walls.
• Slow down: Hold Z to slow down before aiming.
• Latching: Hold right-click to cling to a wall or tree as you approach.
• Regenerates stamina when above 20%.
• From the hold position
  • Spacebar: Begins to slide from the hold position.
  • Right click: Folds your wings and drops you.
• Eat: You can consume food while hanging from a surface.

ALT + LEFT CLICK | (Only on the ground)

• Move forward and perform a slashing bite.
• The direction is controlled by the camera movement.
• Must be performed on the ground and consumes stamina.

LEFT CLICK | Slamming Bite

• Performs a downward bite attack.

RIGHT CLICK | SKIMMING

• Directly over water
  • Hold right-click to dip your head into the water and skim for fish.
• Hold altitude
  • Flap regularly to maintain your height and avoid falling into the water.

SPACE BAR | Take off into the air

• Press and hold Spacebar to catapult yourself into the air.
• Moves you upwards, but consumes a lot of stamina - use sparingly.

Soar through the sky as one of the most majestic animals on the island - the Pteranodon. While its fragile form is rather disadvantageous in battle, the Pteranodon is endowed with the luxury of flight, allowing it to easily evade most threats. The Pteranodon's diet consists mainly of fish and scavenging carcasses.
