Dexter
The July update of the developer diary for 'The Isle' offers exciting insights into the latest developments. From technical improvements to new gameplay elements, the developers have been working hard to further improve the game experience. However, one drawback remains: The AI spawn problem and the poor performance since the last patch have still not been fixed.

Technical updates and bug fixes
The engine was updated at the beginning of the month, which brought with it a number of challenges. The developers had to solve various problems associated with the update. In addition, numerous bugs were fixed, especially in relation to the Elders and the T-Rex. One notable change concerns the Carnotaurus' attack: instead of attacking automatically on contact, the left mouse button must now be pressed.
New functions: Spearfishing with the Pteranodon
One of the main functions that has been worked on is spearfishing for the Pteranodon. This ability is now functional and includes animations and visual effects. Players can now capture fish or break open shells hiding in the mud.
Advances in sound design
The sound design team has completed work on the Tyrannosaurus vocalizations and moved on to new concepts for Austro and Kentro sounds. The Allosaurus calls have been given new layers and frequencies to provide an authentic but improved sound experience.
Animations and rigging
In July, the focus was on rigging. The Avaceratops and Camarasaurus received new rigs, the latter with a soft body system designed to realistically represent the muscles. Animations for the Camarasaurus are imminent and it is expected to offer a unique sauropod experience.
Quality Assurance and the Elder System
The QA team has been focusing intensively on the Tyrannosaurus to fix bugs and prepare for the upcoming release. They are also working on a new Elder System that will allow players to create mutated offspring and strengthen them. This could dynamically change the game and create new goals for players.
At the end of a life cycle, players will be able to decide whether they want to die and reincarnate as Juvie along with the mutations they have received so far:

Animations and gameplay improvements
The animations for the Tyrannosaurus have been refined to ensure that it unleashes its full strength. In addition, older buggy animations have been reworked and new mechanics have been introduced for the Pteranodon. Players can look forward to improved flying and swimming experiences.
I recently purchased myself and brother a copy on steam of the isle. We love the concept and wanted to bring some stuff to your attention.
Biggest quality of life improvement would be to make it so when playing together with friends we can join up so that we arent left just trying to find eachother so we can play together. Either by allowing a teleport to group function or maybe introducing regional fast travel points.
Generally, we have a very hard time finding food using the scenting function. As new players we keep going to water and dying of starvation. Maybe an icon telling you if the feature is a food source at the top of the screen?
Lastly, the lag. I will be walking and then about every 30 seconds or so my character jumps back to where it was 10 seconds ago. The extra strange part is that i can see my own footprints. It seems a bit strange that the game recognizes i was there, then decides to send me back where i was.
Overall we look forward to playing the game more, the designs are beautiful and its such a fun idea for a survival game!
