What exactly is changing?
- Official Discord: NEW PANGAEA is now our first point of contact for community, support and entry.
- TRIKE Discord: Our previous Discord TRIKE (DE-CH-AT) will close at the end of November - thanks for roaring together, it's been great with you! Discord announcement to follow!
- TRIKE-Evrima-Gameserver: Will remain - as an event/test/creator server(sponsored by G-Portal) - managed by the NEW-PANGAEA team in the future.
Why the cooperation makes sense
An active Discord community does not fall from the sky (and certainly not from the cliff). Without a dedicated, devoted Discord team, it is difficult to bring life to the jungle in the long term. At NEW PANGAEA, this crew is already on board:
- Helpful Admins & Mods: Friendly, fast and with game knowledge - perfect for newcomers and returnees.
- Synergy with website & creators: Events, news & guides can be planned and visualized much better together - e.g. with content creators such asSSIK and Co.
- Stable structure: A growing Discord plus an experienced team = less chaos, more fun.
TRIKE & own Discord: An honest conclusion
We tried, but without a permanent Discord crew of our own, it was almost impossible to maintain a stable community. We are all the more pleased about the partnership: at NEW PANGAEA you will find an established community with open doors, fair rules and people who really want to help.
Difficult times for community servers?
Yes - but not hopeless.
The air is currently thinner than it was two months ago: Many are testing new (sometimes buggy) content on the hordetesting servers. Hacker activities are also causing frustration on the official servers - the devs need to tighten things up quickly. Until then, our advice:
- Avoid the official servers for now and find a home on a community server(important: set the ingame filter to "Unofficial Servers").
- Advantage of community servers: Reactive admins, compensation for dino loss (dino garage/shop, points system) - things that don't exist officially.
Established servers such as Isla Oscura or Dinomania are also experiencing headwinds: bugs, performance dips and - of course - the mythical fish AI. Many are taking a break. Understandable. But: good support and clever organization can mitigate a lot of this.
Why NEW PANGAEA is now the best address
- Moderation that works: quick response to hackers, priority given to fairness, clear rules.
- Event power: Tests, community events, creator formats - all from a single source and visible in the Discord & soon also on the website.
- Reward systems: Dino garage, store & points - motivation instead of frustration.
- Good mood included: humorous, positive attitude - after all, we want to play, not just recite patch notes.
Our plan: a fresh start with a tailwind
