Just in time for Christmas and before the end of the year, the development team is providing us with the long-awaited update 0.21.321 that has been tested and tuned on the hordetesting servers for several weeks now.

The highlights of the new update are

🦖 NEW PLAYABLE DINOSAURS

Tyrannosaurus rex

Muzzle Swing (RMB): Light headbutt, knocks over smaller targets.
Heavy Muzzle Swing (RMB hold): Heavy attack, kills smaller or staggers the same size.
Crush (Hold LMB): Powerful bite with advance, causes broken bones and can hold opponents.
Ambush (Spacebar from Subadult): Temporary sprint boost.
Paleo vocals (F + 1 or RMB from Adult): Cosmetic, exclusive audio calls.
Throw (RMB after Crush): Enemy throw with guaranteed kill on smaller targets.

Allosaurus

Claw Swipe (LMB when running): Medium attack with heavy bleed.
Pounce (RMB hold & release): Pike jump with damage over time.

🦅 IMPROVEMENTS FOR EXISTING DINOS

Pteranodon

Ledge Flight: Automatic flight start on ledges.
Barrel Roll (Double Ctrl): Air roll.
Air Brake (Z): Braking & increased maneuverability.
Spearfishing (RMB): Daytime fishing, open shells by throwing.

Carnotaurus

Headbutt: New by holding RMB + LMB, can be activated while standing or running.

🌿 NEW SYSTEM: Older life stage

At 100% growth, you can "entomb" your animal and restart it as a baby with improved mutations.

🧬 NEW FEATURES & MECHANICS

Revised menu & HUD (WIP).
Player report function after death.
Shells as a new resource.
New mutations
- Sequential Hermaphroditism: Gender change possible.
- Parthenogenesis: Female can lay eggs without a partner.

🛠️ BUGFIXES & TECHNICAL IMPROVEMENTS

Many bug fixes for nesting, animations, collisions, sounds, servers and much more.
Optimizations for FPS, night vision, collision systems.
Large animals are no longer able to reproduce at 100% growth.
Adjusted requirements for mutations (e.g. water, bone eating).
